Our Story
Hello there, I’m Esther Thomson. I’m the breeder behind Lake Farm Pembroke Corgis. We are a small hobby/show breeder of purebred AKC Registered Pembroke Welsh Corgis and recently Daschund puppies.
I grew up on a farm, I remember always being surrounded by animals. We had pigs, chickens, cats, dogs, sheep, horses… Basically every kind of animal you could think of having on a farm.
When I was very little, I remember praying and asking God to always be surrounded by animals, especially cats and dogs for the rest of my life. Well, prayers are always answered, I know because mine were! My prayers were heard and answered, and my dreams came true. On a daily basis I get to feel the love and joy of having my dogs and puppies around all the time.

We take pride in raising our puppies to be happy, healthy, and ready for their adopted homes. We provide comprehensive socialization for our puppies, since it is one of the most critical components of a puppy’s early development. We want families to adopt life-long companions, not just dogs. Socialization provides a strong foundation for healthy, well-adjusted adult dogs.
Beginning with days 3-16 of the puppies’ lives, we perform Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises for the puppies by holding them in different positions. Studies have shown that dogs exposed to these exercises at a young age have improved cardiovascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease.
